After years of decision making and setting custody in stone, actors Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner filed for divorce last week.

It may have been their true spirit of supportive coParenting that led the public to think they were on the road to reconciliation. They do almost everything together with their children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 4, They even still go on vacations together.

It’s been a mystery since they announced their divorce in June of 2015. Sources told People Magazine that the two were deciding upon spousal support and the devision of financial assets and property. The couple has decided to enjoy joint custody rights.

Garner sent in her court papers last Thursday, reported TMZ, and Affleck responded.

The couple has been working with a top lawyer in Los Angeles and undergoing mediation. When they first made the announcement of their divorce, the couple expressed their important commitment of coParenting their children.
